Never Mind the Maid, I’ll Take the Butler

March 29, 2010

Dammit. This is distracting.

The best thing about having a blog is that I can post anything I want. From griping about a bad day to admitting to being a chocoholic, anything goes here.

Censorship plays no part in my blog and if someone doesn’t like it, then they can go read something else. Freedom of choice is a beautiful thing.

Speaking of beautiful things.

George Clooney is no longer the front-runner on my “I am so immature I have a mad crush on a movie star” list.

Seriously. It takes a lot for me to admit that George may have to take second place. In fact, just last night, I pulled the poster off my bedroom ceiling.

I now have a new poster on my ceiling. Helllooooo Gerard Butler.

My blood pressure is up. Why?

I blame my son for this. He was the one who talked me into watching, “Law Abiding Citizen” the other day. OK, he talked me into watching it twice and I don’t even like movies that show men sawing other men’s legs off and other gory stuff like that.

I might have to watch it again just to make sure I don’t like movies like that. Not the part when he stood buck naked in the doorway waiting to get arrested either. I HATED that part.

I’ve got a little Scottish in me. Well, my Dad was part Scottish so I’m a Polish, Scottish, English and whatever else lurks in my heritage. It only makes sense that my inner Scottishness is attracted to the likes of that Gerard You’re Flipping Hot Butler.

All these years thinking it would be great to have my own maid and butler. Nevermind the maid. I’ll just take the Butler, please.

So, now you know. I’m never going to be too old for a good poster ripped from the pages of my Cosmo magazine.

Back to real life. Dammit.

I am not obsessed.

Dreamy with a capital D. And I must say thank you to the commenter above for providing the look into his loft! Not only is he attractive – his kitchen is amazing!

Cheryl, Just discovered that Archtectural Digest is running an article on Butler's NY pad. Here's the link: http://www.architecturaldigest.com/homes/features... You can get the lay of the land in advance;-)

Most people don't realize who this guy is. Can anyone say, "This is SPARTA!" Love, love, love Gerard Butler. Saw him on the J. Ross show and that Scottish accent is to die for. My son also had me watch Law Abiding Citizen; didn't do too much for me but the eye candy was enough to keep my attention. I kept thinking, "If I just concentrate on the fact that he's a gorgeous man (and remember that body from 300) and not cutting people up, and I can make it through this movie. Of course I told my son, "yeah that's a great movie!". Little does he know what moms are capable of thinking.

Hmmm, ok, whatever, then again, I have a bit of eye candy on my blog. Fair is Fair, hit the buttons just in case another lady in the blogosphere missed these AH, gentlemen.

I wouldn't kick him out for eating crackers in bed. Nope, wouldn't do it.

  13. Greg Wolf on March 30, 2010 at 5:30 pm

    He did nothing for me.

Cheryl, I was so glad you were choosing Gerard Butler and not Butler Univ. in the Final Four against Michigan State. For one brief moment I thought our virtual friendship would be on the line. But, thankfully I can totally support your choice of this hunk Butler. Isn't it great ot have a rich fantasy life?

    He'd do in a pinch.

  16. @WilliamsKim on March 29, 2010 at 11:59 pm

…ok. i don't even have a comment for this one.

Oh, I think he can knock ol' George off the throne any day of the week! But I was never much of a George Clooney fan. He's too pretty boy for me. But I sure like the looks of this cutie!

I hate gory movies but if there's a shot of him in the buff, I may just force myself to watch "Law Abiding Citizen".

  18. Vicki Day on March 29, 2010 at 5:52 pm

He is cute ……. very cute but can’t knock George of his perch/ pedestal sorry besides I have the make-up bag ready embroidered with “Mrs Clooney” just need him to spot. I think my stalking is too discreet – now you’re not after him I may be more open about my stalking

    • thedailyblonde on March 29, 2010 at 6:15 pm

I'm a long time George fan but I'm also a fan of the bad boy….lol…and as I get older I need a little more of that.
Go for George, I'll take the leftovers if you rate him highly. lol

"I might have to watch it again just to make sure I don’t like movies like that. Not the part when he stood buck naked in the doorway waiting to get arrested either. I HATED that part."

lol It must have been dreadful! How did you cope ;-)

It's probably best to watch the rest of the film again though, just to be sure you really do dislike it. I have to do the same with anything starring Sean Bean or Clive Owen; I'm certain I don't like any of the films they've appeared in, so I have to keep watching, just to be sure.

    • thedailyblonde on March 29, 2010 at 5:38 pm

watching movies several times is just the way I can be sure I really "got it" the first time. For this one, I wore a bib. Good LORD drooling is NOT attractive.

Oh wow! Yummy! LOL … I needed that today (and tomorrow and so on!) *huGs*

I am a public servant when it comes to this sort of stuff. My pleasure. lol
