DailyBlonde, I am also a good man who cries, but with only a couple of other good qualities, LOL. No really, I cry at a lot of movies and listening to music. But I have only really bawled out on a few scattered occasions throughout my life and I remember those times to be really cathartic, releasing lots of tension and making me feel very alive and in the moment. I think I have made some of my most profound and meaningful statements during those emotional moments. It really brings you into the NOW. Its almost like your brains way of rebooting itself when it gets overloaded with messages, but somehow you recover in a refreshed and renewed way.

A friend suggested your blog. This simple statement "I Googled the subject of women crying. Seemed like a sane thing to do, right?" makes me think we'd be friends, lol

Someone once told me that I'd get sentimental over an old dishrag. That sentamentality can bring tears to my eyes. But, for me, the best cry is from laughter. My brother-in-law can have me bent over in half, jaw aching, snorting, with tears running down my face, from the jokes he tells. Afterwards I feel cleansed. And as Leslie Gore sang, "It's my party (in this case life) and I'll cry if I want to." No explanation necessary.

Once upon a time, I didn't cry. As I grew up, I learned that I was missing out on those good cries that I once held back. A tear drop is like a rain drop…each drop refreshing and cleansing. A good cry relieves the pressure inside and helps "make it all better". Can't say that red eyes and red nose is better, but inside, it feels good. Tears are a way to connect with ourselves. I love a good cry.
