I inherited a kindle from my FIL. I'm spoiled- cause he still pays for my uploads!

While I sometimes miss the feel of a real book in my hands, but I love that I can get a new book at midnight, or when I'm sick in bed! I mean, how cool is that? I love the wireless feature- that you can get a book anywhere!

I do have issues w/ the way they mark the book pages- use the bookmark feature!!! and that if I want to go back and reread something, it's hard to do. For that reason, I really only download fun novels and such.

I love my kindle, but don't think I would have gotten one if I had to pay for it myself! :)

I was very apprehensive about getting a Kindle because I love books and everything associated with them. I spend a lot of time in book stores exploring and reading with a cup of coffee. But, I succommbed to my desire and bought one. I absolutely love it. It is so much easier to carry around and I have such a variety of things to read at my disposal at all times. I hope I haven't contributed to the demise of the bookstore because I love both mediums and I think there's room for both. My son is starting college and I am hoping I can get him the DX so he won't have to haul around all those heavy textbooks.

As a Kindle Fanatic I totally had to go over there and list my blog on Amazon after this. (Check out today's post if you want to see what it ended up looking like)

I've had my Kindle now for 5 months and I adore it. I read now more than I ever have but I never use it for blogs or online content. The experimental browser just isn't strong enough. Plus I can read the same blogs via my iphone on the go for free so the subscription price for content just doesn't make $en$e. For that reason I don't think the Kindle will ever take off as a "blog reader" - despite my blog now being listed LOL.

If you are a reader though.. don't be deterred by the initial cost. Add up what you pay for books each year... (upwards of $25 each??) and then think of the savings you'll realize with lower price of books (Most less than $10) I'm pretty sure if I go back and do the math after a year I will have at least saved back the cost of the unit if not more.

I've had my Kindle for about 9 months now and I LOVE it! I have not subscribed to any blogs, yet though.

I've always loved reading, but I always thought it was the feel of the paper, the smell of the pages and ink that added to the reading experience for me. I was wrong. Since getting the Kindle, I haven't touched a normal book and I am NEVER without my Kindle.

If there were a fire in my house and I could only take 3 things with me, I would grab my husband, my dog, and my Kindle. It's the BEST invention ever.

I, too, was also worried about the readability factor, but I have found it extremely easy. You can also change the font size (the biggest font is pretty large) so it's easier to read even when your eyes are hurting or you've left your glasses at home. =)

I wouldn't trade my Kindle for anything.
