Guest Trio: Happy Mother’s Day
Today I am taking the day off and leaving my blog in the good care of three guest bloggers. It’s nice having a little break on Mother’s Day and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than to give the keys to the blog to my three youngest children. I asked them earlier in the week if they would like to take over my blog on Sunday as a Mother’s Day gift. The response was an overwhelming “YES”. After reading what they wrote, this is now to become my favorite Mother’s Day “card” ever. I decided to not edit their writing, so I am just typing this up exactly as they wrote it.
So, take it away Zachary, Maxx and Mya. Thank you for your effort and I’m honored to have you here.

Thanks Mom for years of fun times. Even though we have alot of dissagreements and stupid little things, we still always get along for the majority of the time. Happy Mother’s Day and I’ll see you tomorro! Love, Zach.
Zachary is thirteen, an eighth grader and has a voice deeper than most grown men. He loves to play his guitar, has started his own band and has hair so long that his Mom dreams of the day he decides he is tired of it. Zach is a fabulous artist, has a strange addiction for butterscotch crumpets and has a very dry sense of humor. He is quite capable of writing more than he did here (he just started writing on Helium.com) and he is doing a phenomenal job! Zach aspires to be a rock and roll legend. Mom will be his oldest groupie and wants him to know that she really digs the fact that he hugs her every day.
My Mom is the best Mom anyone could ever have. Even when she doesn’t have a lot of money she still tries to make my brother, sister, and me happy. My Mom is always nice and she is never mean. I remember when I turned 7 my birthday was on Mother’s Day. She let me have a party and she didn’t mind me getting attention at all. My Mom is the best Mom and I wish her a happy Mother’s day.
Maxx is eleven, a fifth grader and has the most loving, caring heart of anyone I have ever known. He’s a perfectionist and very intent on mastering everything he learns in school. His love for animals extends to his stuffed animal collection. All 280+ stuffed animals have names, personalities and birthdays that Maxx never forgets. He would like to be a veterinarian and has offered Mom a comfortable desk job at his clinic when he opens his business. Maxx is an avid reader, loves being outside and has an amazing sweet tooth.
I love my Mom beause she is so cool! Her blog the daily blonde is the best. Well I think it is. Even know she says she does not have a lot of money, she still try’s the best she can to make us happy. A few days ago I wanted to scrapbook. She bote me a scrapbook and a book with a few sticers and silly colored paper. This is a few things how my Mom is specil. Love, Mya.
Mya is eight, a second grader and is the youngest of five siblings. She speaks her mind (wonder where she gets that from?) yet loves to help everyone. From helping in the kitchen to drawing a picture for anyone who is sad, Mya loves being an arbitrator and having everyone happy. She often tries to dodge shower time with small protests about how it might waste water. Mya is never far from a box of crayons and is currently dividing her time between making her first (really awesome) scrapbook, drawing, reading and hugging Mommy. Mya would like to be a book illustrator when she grows up.
I applaud Zach for his honesty, Maxx for being the President of my fan club and Mya for being my new public relations director here at The Daily Blonde. And gee whizz…I must use the word “budget” around the house a lot! Hey, money isn’t everything….and it seems that my kidlets are doing just fine despite the tight wallet!
Happy Mother’s Day!

What a great post by some awesome guests!! Ms Mya, my 14 yo daughter thinks that hightops are cool! Her favorites are a teal color, and she loves to scrapbook too!
Maxx sounds like YOU were one of the best Mother’s Day gifts ever, and I bet your mom loves sharing her special day with you when your birthday falls on Mother’s Day.

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments…I’m sure Zach, Maxx and Mya will be thrilled to read them when they come home in the morning! They said they feel like “stars” but I know they were stars long before this post.
I like that they are so honest (and that Zach didn’t say how I got really flipped out that he wanted to build a FIREPLACE out of stones in the backyard….) and love me despite any hardships.
I’m a lucky mom…I hope I show it enough!
that’s so sweet! brought tears to my eyes! Happy Mother’s Day!!!
That is the BEST guest post I’ve EVER seen – your kids are awesome…which means you’re an awesome mom!
Wishing you a Very Happy Mother’s Day!

Thanks Kendra…you’re a great inspiration with your “Pinwheel Girls”…so glad we’ve connected.
I don’t believe in manufactured holidays but I really thought it was fun to see what “raw” reality my kids would write without a prompt. I love that.
Have a wonderful day and can I plug the Pinwheel Girls?

I’m sure they’re going to love reading the comments. And as far as Mya’s high tops…they are her obsession. She said high tops go with everything…even skirts. The fashionable Tom-Boy
