When someone follows me, before I follow them back, I go to their profile link and read a page of their tweets to see if I’m interested in what they do or what they have to say. If I don’t find either something we have in common or something they do or say that I find interesting, I don’t follow them back.

I like finding new people to follow by reading interesting tweets between them and the people I already follow.
