You said it! I hate the auto DM's. I hate having someone follow me who has never twittered I can't figure that out. Also, I don't mind people marketing their businesses on twitter, especially the moms, but if that's ALL you twitter about, I'm not interested. Twitter about mom shit, well you know what I mean.

I'm right there with ya, my Gemini sister. I don't understand how people keep track of and get to know 1,000+ people.

My biggest peeve is twits who post things like: "Only, 7 more people to go before I hit 900 followers!" Then a while later: "Come on people! Help me get to my 1,000 follower goal!"

I'm sorry, but I am sooo not interested in being collected like a baseball card.

When someone follows me, before I follow them back, I go to their profile link and read a page of their tweets to see if I'm interested in what they do or what they have to say. If I don't find either something we have in common or something they do or say that I find interesting, I don't follow them back.

I like finding new people to follow by reading interesting tweets between them and the people I already follow.

DB, you definitely hitting the twit on the head with your post. I like a girl who calls it as she sees it!

I like to talk or type to a person but I understand that some may be new and do not know they should have a picture on. Plus some may be scare to put their picture on here.
Some after I follow them will used their ass as a picture, I do not need to see that and I un-follow all of those.
I come in and read your blog every once in awhile. lol. PS. this is crumcake from twitter. lol

I followed your tweet linkz to this post.

It's very funny, and absolutely true, and when you are really following a great deal amount of people, you need to make a point and start reading what people are talking about.

That's how I get here.

Followed you from your Tweetstream.

I enjoyed this post. "Use my tool." Now that's just funny.

About the photo: I've gotten a TON of feedback recently about my Twitter photo. It's me wearing a pair of red horns. This was supposed to be a place holder, because I didn't want the brown box avatar. I put that photo up in October. And I had several people comment about my "horns" last week at Blissdom and a few additional comments this week on Twitter. I think the photo has "stuck." Ha! :)
